A-level Psychology

Why do people obey? Why is it important for children to form attachments? Which area of the brain controls language and what happens if this is damaged? Are psychopaths born or made? What causes schizophrenia? How do psychologists do their research? Is gender identity inherited or the result of the environment? Psychology is concerned with all aspects of behaviour and with the thoughts, feelings and motivations underlying that behaviour.

Psychologists are interested in what makes people tick and how this understanding can help solve major problems in society. You will study all of the above questions in an interesting and scientific manner and we hope we will be able to give you a better insight into human behaviour.
